Acceptance of EWP to NZ

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

According to the Approved Code of Practice, to be accepted into New Zealand an Elevating Work Platform (EWP) must comply with one of the design specifications listed in the Code (or a successor to one of these standards).
In order to obtain acceptance of “used or second-hand machines” imported into New Zealand, it will be necessary to subject the machine to a complete major examination, (see clause 11.5 of the Code), unless the work platform is less than 10 years old and already carries an Australian DLI reference number (now Design Registration). Operating and maintenance manuals, in English, must be provided with the machine.
